Dragons Den
Last Thursday week 7 teams from Transition Year competed for the Dragons Den title for best Mini Company Enterprise for 2017. This event is kindly sponsored by the Parents Association and Richard Jack was on hand from the Parents Association to welcome and thank both participants and dragons. The Parents Association had gathered together an impressive array of experience and knowledge from the local business community to put our students through their paces on the night. Dragons on the night were Gordon Murphy, Chief Financial Officer from Glanbia Ingredients Ireland, Pat Macken from TaxBack.com and Dermot Dalton from Ripley’s Steakhouse.
Please note that there will be a revised school day this Friday the 24th of March due to the Form 3 Parent/Teacher Consultation. Class will conclude at the end of Period 5 (12:15pm). Please note weekend buses may be leaving earlier, please see attached document for exact times.
12:15pm - Lunch will be served as per normal rota
12:30pm - Information meeting regarding subject choices for Parents/Guardians of Form 3 students ONLY in the Media Room.
1:10pm - Form 3 Parent/Teacher Consultation meeting commences in The Swift Building
3:40pm - Conculsion of the Parent/Teacher Consultation meeting with standard finishing up time to 4:10pm.
Prep will be set up in the study hall for all students not involved in ECA activities and are not travelling or being collected before 3:40pm.
Normal Friday ECA programme will commence at 1:30pm.
